CCRI / Southpole 'hybrid' method
Methodology Description
The 'hybrid' model considers the total electricity consumption of the entire Bitcoin network over a defined period of time. It apportions this to Bitcoin holdings (based on a known amount of Bitcoin in circulation at any given time), and accounts for the proportion of miner income attributable to the block reward, and that attributable to transaction fees.
